About the Role

The Baillie Group's Owego, NY facility is hiring for a Material Handler / General Laborer. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with a world-class hardwood lumber manufacturer.

Responsibilities

• Build bundles of lumber, ensuring they are square and meet quality standards.
• Finish bundles with a top layer and prepare them for forklift removal.
• Identify and handle lumber pieces, ensuring edges are free of defects.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs continuously.
• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and stoop.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task.

Skills

• Previous experience as a warehouse worker preferred.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to read a measuring tape, calipers, and digital indicators.
