About the Role
CLA is seeking an Audit Senior to join its State and Local Government (SLG) practice in the Mid-West Region. This role involves planning, leading, and executing assurance engagements, working closely with clients, and auditing complex areas. The SLG group is a rapidly growing practice within CLA, serving numerous government agencies.
Responsibilities
- Plan, lead, and execute Assurance engagements to provide excellent client service.
- Work closely with clients and decision makers while performing a wide range of assurance procedures.
- Audit complex areas/transactions and prepare financial statements and related reports.
- Research, analyze, and report on accounting, auditing, and related issues and developments.
- Schedule, delegate, and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
- Collaborate with managers/principals to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
- Develop and maintain effective client relationships.
Requirements
- 2 years of relevant audit experience required.
- SLG industry experience is a plus.
- CPA or eligible to sit for the CPA exam preferred
