About the Role
The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for greeting customers, providing guidance on product location, and acting as a brand ambassador to ensure positive customer experiences. This role generates sales, advises customers on product use and care, and participates in merchandising and promotional activities while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide guidance on where they may find items within the store.
- Provide award-winning customer service; build quality relationships with customers, suggest new services, and remind them of upcoming events.
- Generate sales.
- Advise customers on the use and care of accessories and provide advice concerning specialized products or services.
- Participate in merchandising and promotional activities.
- Maintain a high level of customer service.
- Assist with setting up merchandise displays.
- Work in partnership with store managers and other employees to maximize store sales and in-store presence.
- Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures.
- Participate in all manner of store maintenance.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge.
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude always.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
- Experience in retail sales preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Motivated and creative team player.
- Strong knowledge of retail sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
- Self-motivation, with high energy, a positive attitude, and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
- Overtime as required.
