About the Role
MDE is seeking talented, educated, and caring postpartum doulas to join our perinatal support team. We provide in-home postpartum doula support to new parents, assisting with emotional and physical support, education, and feeding.
Responsibilities
- Provide daytime and/or overnight postpartum support sessions.
- Support families with emotional and physical needs during their postpartum journey.
- Offer postpartum and/or newborn education.
- Provide lactation/feeding support.
- Assist with light housekeeping and newborn-related tasks, including meal preparation, baby laundry, bottle cleaning, and home organization.
- Be available for ad-hoc support as needed by client families.
Requirements
- Authorization to work in the US.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a postpartum doula.
- Completion of a postpartum doula training.
- A strong understanding of the postpartum period and postpartum healing.
- Foundational breastfeeding education with experience supporting new moms in breastfeeding.
- Exceptional references attesting to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity, and high emotional intelligence.
- Openness to working in a household team.
- A professional appearance.
- Fluency in written English.
