About the Role
The Building Custodian performs day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and preservation of all company buildings, grounds, and offices.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily building equipment repairs, carpentry, painting, wallpapering, installing windows and doors, building modules and partitions, and all other building repairs and maintenance.
- Clear, prepare, and clean up work areas.
- Properly use tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Utilize heavy machinery and motorized equipment such as Bob Cat, forklifts, ladders, and garbage trucks.
Requirements
- Maintain an excellent NYS Driver’s License.
- Experience with sludge, snow, and non-hazardous waste removal.
- Experience with the proper operation of a variety of hand power tools.
- Ability to maintain manual dexterity when grasping, pushing, pulling, walking, climbing, lifting, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and balancing self or equipment without accommodations.
- Ability to perform job duties safely near moving mechanical parts.
- Ability to work both inside and outdoors in all weather and surrounding conditions.
- Ability to work days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, holidays, and overtime hours.
