About the Role

coni + partner is seeking a Tax Advisor specializing in US & EU Tax Compliance for an asset management client in Zurich. This role involves advising on AEOI, US tax compliance, and reporting for private equity and private market investments.

Responsibilities

• Support investment funds practices, advising on AEOI and US tax compliance and reporting matters for private equity investments and other private market investment structures.
• Provide technically strong, commercially focused input across a broad range of US funds matters.
• Review complex fund structures and ensure compliance with US tax regulations for investment funds and their investors.
• Advise on US tax reporting requirements, including K-1 schedules and investor disclosures.
• Support fund structuring, launches, and ongoing operational tax matters.
• Act as a technical point of contact for internal stakeholders and investors.
• Identify and manage US tax risks and compliance obligations.
• Contribute to process improvement and best practice within the function.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Law, Taxation or Economics.
• LL.M.; knowledge of tax law would be an advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of CRS/AEOI and US taxation, particularly in relation to private market funds (private equity, etc.).
• Professional experience with one of the ‘Big Four’ or an international tax consultancy firm.
• Experience with CRS and US tax compliance of fund investments.
• Interest in international tax matters (e.g., fund structuring, fund distribution, or tax reporting).
• Analytical mindset and a goal-oriented approach to work, including the ability to multitask.
• Ability to work in a team and strong customer focus.
• Problem-solver, detail-oriented.
• Interest in an intercultural environment.
• Very good knowledge of MS Office tools (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
