About the Role
As a Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that improve patient care and streamline healthcare operations. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare delivery by creating reliable, secure, and scalable applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including healthcare professionals, data scientists, and product managers to understand complex healthcare requirements and translate them into technical solutions. The role demands a strong commitment to quality, compliance with healthcare regulations, and continuous improvement to meet evolving industry standards. Ultimately, your contributions will help enhance patient & member outcomes and support the mission of providing accessible and high-quality healthcare services.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications using ASP.NET/C#, .NET Core, SQL, JavaScript to meet healthcare-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and stakeholders to gather and analyze system requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Maintain and improve existing healthcare software systems, ensuring high performance, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.
- Write and maintain clear, efficient, and well-documented code, utilizing scripting languages for front-end and automation tasks.
- Use Git for version control to manage codebase changes, collaborate with team members, and support continuous integration and deployment processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in ASP.NET/C#, .NET Core, SQL, JavaScript programming languages.
- Experience with scripting languages and HTML5 for web-based interfaces or automation.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and version control systems, particularly Git.
- Demonstrated ability to develop secure and compliant software solutions in regulated environments.
- Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
