About the Role
Penske Media Corporation (PMC) is seeking a Facilities Specialist to join their service-oriented Facilities team in their Midtown Manhattan offices. This new role supports employees across 9 floors, ensuring facilities are safe and clean, and anticipates needs before they arise.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily walkthroughs to identify and address issues such as spills, trash, lighting problems, smells, missing nameplates, and property damage.
- Assist the Associate Manager of Facilities with maintenance and operations.
- Manage terrace landscaping, beverage machines, and snacks/breakfasts, including ordering inventory and supplies.
- Restock kitchens, clean counters and tables, remove trash, and sanitize high-touch areas.
- Coordinate event and happy hour setup and breakdown.
- Deliver mail and packages.
- Oversee vendor work and manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs).
- Execute office and desk moves.
- Perform minor carpentry repairs, including patch/paint, and install artwork, bulletin boards, and shelving.
Requirements
- Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities and pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- At least 2 years of facilities experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Slack, Jira, & Building Engines is a plus.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to lift, pull or push up to 30lbs.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and a propensity for action.
