About the Role
The Vice President, Information Security – Manufacturing Plant Security, Product Security & Application Security is responsible for protecting Danaher’s global manufacturing plants, connected products, and software engineering environments. This leader owns security strategy and execution across manufacturing plant (OT/ICS) security, product security for IoT-enabled and digital health products, and application security across engineering organizations.
Responsibilities
- Lead global strategy and execution for manufacturing plant (OT/ICS) security across manufacturing sites in over 50 countries.
- Own product security strategy for IoT-enabled and connected digital health products, including compliance with FDA medical device cybersecurity requirements.
- Lead application security strategy across engineering organizations, including CI/CD pipeline security, DevSecOps practices, and governance for AI-assisted development tools.
- Build and lead a team of function leaders and embedded security professionals, providing strategic direction and development.
- Partner directly with operating company presidents, plant leaders, and product and engineering executives to embed security into business operations.
- Establish and maintain a consolidated risk management framework spanning manufacturing, product, and application security domains, with clear metrics and executive reporting.
- Represent Danaher’s security strategy and risk posture to executive leadership and, as needed, audit and risk committees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 12+ years of information security experience, including direct ownership of manufacturing plant (OT/ICS) security, product security, or application security within a global organization.
- Experience with FDA medical device cybersecurity requirements, including premarket cybersecurity submissions and post market vulnerability management.
- Experience applying OT/ICS security frameworks such as IEC 62443 or NIST 800-82 within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Experience with modern application security tooling and practices, including CI/CD pipeline security, SAST/DAST/SCA, and cloud-native application security.
- Experience leading an information security function through multiple layers of management across global, multi-site organizations.
- Experience operating across a multi-country organization spanning 50 or more countries.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 30% of the time, to Danaher operating company manufacturing, R&D, and plant locations globally.
