About the Role
The Melt is seeking experienced Restaurant Managers, including District Managers, General Managers, and Assistant General Managers, to join our growing team. After completing a 6-8 week Management Training Program, participants will step into an Assistant Manager role for one year, preparing them for a General Manager position. This role involves working late-night weekday and weekend closing shifts, with potential closing times as late as 3:00 am. We offer a competitive compensation plan and benefits, with Assistant Managers averaging $450.00 in tips every four weeks. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work in both Daly City and downtown San Francisco locations post-training. Responsibilities
- Leads and directs Crew shifts acting as manager-in-charge of store
- Coaches, counsels and directs Crew Members
- Ensures a positive team environment and maintains a calm professional demeanor
- Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching and feedback
- Participates in the staff planning, interviewing and hiring process for new Crew Members
- Ensures 'I Love It Here' experience for every guest
- Ensures standards are consistently met for speed of service, order accuracy, product quality, and store cleanliness
- Handles problem resolution with composure
- Inspires, motivates, and coaches Crew Members
- Executes opening and closing duties
- Ensures food quality, food safety, and store cleanliness
- Follows all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Manages shift schedules and utilizes deployment tools to maximize shift performance
- Manages inventory needs by ordering, receiving, and storing items according to procedures
- Follows cash management and cash register policies
Requirements
- Must be Happy and Positive with a collaborative leadership style
- Must have at least 3-4 years of General Manager, Assistant Manager or Shift Manager experience within The Fast Casual, QSR or Mid-Scale Casual Dining segment.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to learn quickly and the leadership skills to build and be part of a team.
- Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have exceptional work ethic.
- Must be 18 to apply
- Must be available to work 50 hours per week, including late nights and weekends.
- Must develop and maintain effective working relationships.
- ServSafe certification.
