Responsibilities

  • Produces high quality images for interpretation by physicians that meet established standards.
  • Demonstrates competence in a variety of imaging equipment and technology.
  • Practices proper safety guidelines for self, support personnel, and patients.
  • Fosters teamwork through effective communication.
  • Ensures a high level of service to patients through proper communication, technique, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times, and lengths.
  • Performs other functional duties as assigned to assure efficient and optimal patient care.

Requirements

  • Requires a graduate of an accredited radiography program.
  • Organized, efficient, and multifunctional.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates effective communication.
  • Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends.
  • Radiologic Technologist or CT Technologist experience preferred.
  • ARRT certified in Radiography.
  • ARRT certified in CT within 18 months of hire or 24 months for Critical Access Hospital, Per Diem, or Supplemental employees.
  • Additional certifications may be required and determined by Radiology leadership.
  • Appropriate state licensure from the state in which the candidate practices (if the state requires licensure).
  • BLS certified.
