About the Role
Join the team building the operating system for Windows 365 Link, a purpose-built device that connects users to their Cloud PC in seconds. This role involves building experiences using the latest Windows platform, cloud/client computing, and web UI advancements. You will partner with Product Management and Design, contribute to various codebases and technologies, and improve engineering systems, test infrastructure, and developer tools. Utilizing telemetry and customer insights, you will help shape the product's evolution.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements.
- Drive the identification of dependencies and development of design documents.
- Produce extensible and maintainable code, optimizing, debugging, refactoring, and reusing code for improved performance and ROI.
- Leverage subject-matter expertise to drive project and release plans.
- Proactively seek new knowledge and adapt to new trends and technical solutions to enhance product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, TypeScript, or Python, OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience developing Operating System components or Windows applications.
- 2+ years of C++ development experience.
