About the Role
Nimble Brain is seeking a Data Collection Manager to oversee one of its data collection sites end-to-end. This is a leadership role responsible for managing operators, supervisors, shift structure, hiring, onboarding, throughput, uptime, safety, and morale. The goal is to ensure a site that ramps quickly and operates efficiently, with new operators becoming productive rapidly and quality feedback being addressed promptly.
Responsibilities
- Own daily site operations end to end, including collection throughput, quality, rig uptime, safety, attendance, and team morale.
- Build and lead the supervisor layer and design shift structures to maximize rig utilization.
- Hire operators and supervisors at volume, managing the pipeline through ramp waves.
- Run onboarding and training programs to quickly get new operators to the certification bar.
- Execute the operator quality feedback loop on the floor, coaching or managing performance based on quality scorecards.
- Own and report site metrics daily, including accepted episodes per operator-hour, rig uptime, attendance, retention, time-to-certification, and safety.
- Proactively manage attrition to keep a high-performing hourly team engaged.
- Contribute learnings to the site playbook for future site launches.
Requirements
- 4+ years leading hourly operational teams of 20+ in warehouse/fulfillment, manufacturing, production, BPO, or comparable high-throughput physical operations.
- Proven track record of hiring and onboarding at volume, including managing hiring waves, working interviews, and first-90-days retention.
- Experience with metrics-driven daily management using dashboards and direct observation.
- Experience with direct performance management, including difficult conversations.
- Floor-first presence and comfort working on-site where the work happens.
- High agency and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
