About the Role
GAC MOTOR Europe is seeking a dynamic leader to drive business planning, operational management, and strategy execution across the Eastern & Northern Europe Region. This role involves overseeing key business KPIs, analyzing market trends, and implementing headquarters' strategies while adapting to local market conditions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional strategies and annual business plans for Eastern & Northern Europe.
- Oversee regional business KPIs including sales volume, revenue, profitability, market share, and dealer network development.
- Analyze market trends, industry policies, and competitive landscape to recommend strategy adjustments.
- Drive implementation of headquarters' strategies and develop differentiated local market strategies.
- Oversee business development across Eastern and Northern European markets.
- Guide local entities and partners in developing sales targets and business plans.
- Manage regional wholesale, retail, inventory, order intake, and sales pacing.
- Drive successful launches and sales performance of key vehicle models.
- Establish regional business analysis and performance review mechanisms.
- Oversee the development and optimization of different business models (NSCs, importers/distributors).
- Develop regional dealer network strategy and manage relationships with key partners.
- Drive dealer network planning, development, appointment, and operational quality improvement.
- Establish partner performance evaluation and management mechanisms.
- Lead major regional commercial negotiations and strategic partnership projects.
- Oversee regional brand strategy and marketing activities.
- Guide markets in developing product launch, brand communication, PR, digital marketing, and customer engagement plans.
- Drive regional marketing resource coordination and ROI management.
- Establish a regional brand management framework aligned with global positioning.
- Provide headquarters with recommendations on product introduction, specifications, pricing, and planning based on market demand.
- Oversee launch readiness for key products and cross-functional coordination.
- Monitor competitor brands and models to support headquarters' product planning.
- Oversee regional aftersales strategy and capability development.
- Guide local entities in establishing aftersales service networks and operating systems.
- Establish regional aftersales KPIs and escalation mechanisms.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to improve customer experience and aftersales performance.
- Lead organizational capability building and talent pipeline development.
- Guide local entities in establishing efficient operating and collaboration mechanisms.
- Promote effective cross-cultural communication between headquarters and local teams.
- Establish a performance management system to strengthen regional execution capabilities.
- Oversee major regional business risks and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with relevant functions to assess and manage risks.
- Take responsibility for decision-making on major regional incidents and issues.
- Report regional business performance and key developments to company management.
- Coordinate resources and support from headquarters functions.
- Promote resource sharing and collaboration between different European regions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Automotive Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, International Trade, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the automotive industry.
- Senior management experience in a major automotive group, international automotive brand, or new energy vehicle company.
- At least 5 years of multi-country management experience in Europe.
- Experience as an overseas business leader within a Chinese automotive OEM is highly preferred.
- Extensive experience in the European automotive market, with strong knowledge of key Eastern and Northern European markets.
- Proven experience as a Regional Head, Country General Manager, senior Sales/Marketing executive, or comparable general management role.
- Experience across OEMs, importers/distributors, dealer groups, or NEV companies is preferred.
- Strong capabilities in strategic planning, business management, dealer network development, commercial negotiation, and multinational team leadership.
- Strong commercial acumen and results orientation.
- Excellent cross-cultural communication skills and an international mindset.
- Fluency in English as a working language.
- Proficiency in German or another major language spoken within the region is preferred.
- Willingness and ability to undertake frequent business travel within Europe and between Europe and China.
- Strong hands-on European operational experience.
- Proven multinational team leadership capabilities.
- Ability to establish highly effective communication and collaboration mechanisms with headquarters in China.
