About the Role
Fora is seeking a seasoned, strategic, and commercially-minded General Manager to lead and scale our rapidly growing Cruise business. This leader will own the Cruise P&L, drive advisor success, deepen supplier partnerships, and lead both near-term operations and long-term growth strategy, combining commercial leadership, operational rigor, and strategic thinking.
Responsibilities
- Act as the General Manager of Cruise, owning revenue, margin, and full P&L accountability
- Build and execute the long-term strategy to position Fora as the leading modern cruise platform
- Lead the day-to-day Cruise operation, ensuring systems, support, and processes run smoothly and scale effectively
- Manage and develop a growing Cruise team
- Deepen supplier relationships to unlock strategic benefits: preferred commission tiers, co-op marketing programs, group rates, and exclusive offers
- Drive advisor engagement through high-impact training, support, FAM programs, and performance tracking
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Tech, Marketing, Advisor Experience) to launch new programs, tools, and campaigns
- Leverage data to track KPIs, identify opportunities, and optimize business decisions
- Lead seasonal initiatives like Wave Season with clear planning, supplier coordination, and execution
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of experience with proven commercial ownership (GM, Category Head, P&L leadership roles)
- Track record of scaling a business or business line, with clear revenue and margin impact
- Deep understanding of the cruise or broader travel industry, including supplier dynamics, commission structures, and advisor ecosystems
- Strong leadership experience; has directly managed teams and built org structures
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving product, operations, marketing, and tech
- Highly data-fluent: comfortable analyzing performance metrics and making insight-driven decisions
- Strong relationship-building skills; able to credibly represent Fora to suppliers and advisors
- Based in or willing to relocate to NYC
