About the Role

The Executive Housekeeper manages the housekeeping department by overseeing the planning, organizing, and execution of department activities, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and manage the performance of housekeeping staff and supervisors.
  • Plan and organize the cleaning of all guest rooms and public areas.
  • Provide daily cleaning assignments to room attendants.
  • Manage staffing fluctuations and identify staffing needs.
  • Monitor guest service scores for cleanliness and address issues immediately.
  • Implement programs to meet or exceed brand benchmarks in conjunction with the General Manager.
  • Ensure all housekeeping associates are thoroughly trained and follow service standards.
  • Inspect the cleanliness of all hotel rooms and public areas.
  • Provide information about company policies and job duties to associates.
  • Develop and execute incentives and programs that promote positive associate relations.
  • Develop weekly staff work schedules within budgeted labor guidelines.
  • Conduct and maintain inventory of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies, and place orders.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance department to ensure timely completion of repairs.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the General Manager.

Requirements

  • One year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to interpret and perform intermediate computer functions.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 8 hours a day.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, and work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to exert physical effort consistent with cleaning assigned rooms as per hotel standards.
  • Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 30 lbs.
