About the Role
We are seeking a versatile Maintenance Technician responsible for the upkeep and repair of all hotel equipment, including kitchen, laundry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and guest rooms, ensuring minimal downtime. This role requires proactive problem-solving and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs on electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment with minimal downtime.
- Install and replace light fixtures and bulbs.
- Conduct scheduled inspections and repair equipment malfunctions.
- Ensure proper use and storage of chemicals and hazardous materials, and complete required reporting.
- Secure the building by monitoring and resetting security systems, repairing locks, and maintaining keys.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of trade-related experience and/or training in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance.
- Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to collaborate within a diverse team.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Ability to stand/sit for extended periods.
- Ability to carry/lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk, bend/twist, and climb stairs.
- Ability to position oneself to repair items in hard-to-reach areas.
- Ability to ascend/descend a ladder.
- Flexibility to accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
