About the Role

This role is responsible for providing the analytical foundation for demand, supply, and inventory decisions, and for driving improvement initiatives to advance planning capabilities. You will build and automate recurring performance reporting, investigate and explain variances, and translate complex datasets into actionable recommendations. This position offers broad exposure and a direct path to grow into a planning or analytics leadership role.

Responsibilities

  • Build, automate, and maintain recurring reporting and dashboards for the Planning team, including forecast accuracy, service level, inventory turns, and replenishment health.
  • Extract, clean, and reconcile data from multiple source systems into decision-ready views with disciplined validation.
  • Define and track planning KPIs against targets, developing exception reporting to surface risks early.
  • Investigate variance to root cause and explain the drivers behind it.
  • Prepare analytical inputs and supporting materials for weekly planning cycles and monthly IBP cadences.
  • Partner with demand and supply planners, providing data, backtests, and diagnostics for improved forecasting and replenishment decisions.
  • Support forecast review by quantifying forecast value add and benchmarking model output.
  • Analyze demand patterns across categories and channels, including seasonality, promotions, and new product introductions.
  • Model service level and working capital implications of proposed planning decisions.
  • Build reporting and analysis for store-level sales performance, including sell-through, productivity, and category mix.
  • Analyze store inventory position and availability, quantifying lost sales due to stock outs.
  • Develop and refine store replenishment logic, including model stock, reorder triggers, and allocation rules.
  • Support allocation decisions for new product introductions, seasonal ranges, and high-demand SKUs.
  • Compare demand signal and inventory productivity across store and e-commerce channels.
  • Establish recurring store performance and replenishment reporting cadence and evolve it into standard operating process.
  • Support inventory strategy analysis across finished jewelry, components, and factory inventory.
  • Analyze inventory health, including aging, coverage, excess and obsolescence risk, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Contribute to assortment and SKU rationalization analysis, quantifying sales and working capital impacts.
  • Assess fulfillment method performance and identify opportunities to improve availability and speed.
  • Identify friction and manual effort in current planning processes and propose data-backed improvements.
  • Scope and drive supply chain planning improvement initiatives, from streamlining reporting to enhancing methodology and tooling.
  • Automate recurring analysis and reporting in Python to reduce manual effort.
  • Document and standardize planning processes, definitions, and calculations.
  • Translate complex analysis into clear, concise recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Finance, Operations, and Technology to align on data definitions and business context.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in supply chain planning, demand planning, inventory analytics, business analysis, or a comparable analytical role.
  • Demonstrated experience working with large, imperfect datasets and producing analysis that withstands scrutiny.
  • Exposure to forecasting, replenishment, or inventory management concepts strongly preferred.
  • Experience with retail store replenishment, allocation, or store performance analytics strongly valued.
