About the Role
Tutor Doctor is seeking experienced educators to provide K-12 tutoring in reading, math, executive functioning, and test prep. We handle client matching, scheduling, and billing, allowing you to focus on teaching. This role requires travel across San Francisco for in-person sessions.
Responsibilities
- Work with students in reading, math, executive functioning skills, or test prep, spanning grades K–12
- Read and interpret student assessment results (cognitive and academic) to identify specific gaps and inform instruction
- Apply targeted strategies based on findings, addressing weaknesses and strengths
- Align instruction with school curriculum while tailoring to individual student needs
- Track progress and communicate consistently with families and the team
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional teaching or tutoring experience
- Ability to read and act on formal student assessment data
- Must live in San Francisco
- Comfortable traveling to different neighborhoods across the city for student sessions
