About the Role

This is a winter term internship position (January to April 2027) in Toronto, focused on supporting leadership meetings, communications, reporting, and employee engagement activities. The role offers opportunities for continuous learning and skill development within a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing agendas, scheduling meetings, distributing materials, and tracking action items from leadership team meetings, town halls, and workshops.
  • Draft and update internal communications, presentations, announcements, and SharePoint content.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data to support leadership reporting and employee engagement metrics.
  • Use GenAI and Microsoft 365 tools to summarize meetings, draft content and create presentations.
  • Help coordinate town halls, volunteer activities, and team-building initiatives.
  • Support onboarding activities by coordinating introductions, preparing welcome materials, and tracking onboarding milestones.
  • Update SharePoint sites, Teams channels, communication repositories, and knowledge-sharing resources.
  • Assist with planning activities, tracking project milestones, maintaining organizational calendars, and monitoring progress against team objectives and key deliverables.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Communications, Human Resources, Technology Management, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in business operations, corporate communications, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated leadership through academic, volunteer, extracurricular, or work-related activities.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects concurrently.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with an ability to work with data and generate insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create presentations, reports, and business communications.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Interest in leveraging AI and digital productivity tools to improve communications and reporting.
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program and plan to return to school after completing the internship.
  • Must be eligible to work full-time for the entire duration of the program.
