About the Role
As a Forklift Operator at Agile Cold Storage - Buffalo, NY, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating a turret forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and count merchandise. Your attention to detail and accuracy will be essential in maintaining inventory accuracy and meeting customer demands. You will work closely with the operations team members to ensure that safety protocols are followed and that all warehouse operations are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Work safely, focusing on yourself and teammates.
- Complete pre-shift inspection sheets.
- Load and unload trucks and move product onto pallets in the correct position.
- Scan product, move it to the correct loading or staging area, and verify accuracy and placement.
- Secure product with stretch wrap and attach correct labels.
- Record materials, weight, counts, and product condition.
- Operate a forklift, pallet jack, or dock loader safely to move product.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area, sweeping as needed.
- Keep the work area safe and clean, including mopping up any spills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid forklift operator certification
- At least 1 year of experience operating a turret forklift in a warehouse environment
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a cold, labor-intensive, and high-up environment
- Schedule and cross-training flexibility
- People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
