About the Role
The SERVICE OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR is responsible for the operational aspects, goals, and metrics of the Computer Service Repair Department.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and guidance to Computer Service Repair Department and Knowledge Bar associates.
- Ensures accurate and timely execution of parts orders and returns, including store stock quality control.
- Manages cycle counts, inventory turns, obsolescence, and markdowns with Service Purchasing.
- Ensures customer service standards are met and handles difficult customer situations professionally.
- Drives Service Department performance to meet or exceed goals for customer satisfaction, productivity, income, and operational efficiency.
- Manages vendor relationships, including parts cost, margin, and SLAs.
- Creates vendor P&Ls.
- Participates in staffing, orientation, and training activities.
- Assists with scheduling to ensure proper coverage.
- Maintains technical certification levels for proper service and repair of products.
- Responsible for the appearance and maintenance of the parts room and Service Department facilities.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate professionally and manage multiple customers and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, or government regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively communicate information verbally in one-on-one and group settings.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
- Shifts include hours before and after store opening, and may include mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Experience Level
- At least one year of related supervisory or management experience in a service facility, retail service department, or tech support environment preferred.
Education Level
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from a college or technical school preferred.
- A+ and Apple certifications are required within 120 days of hire.
