About the Role

The Work Learn & Grow (WLG) Site Monitor is responsible for ensuring the well-being and success of program participants at their assigned worksites. This role requires frequent travel via public transportation to monitor multiple worksites daily and acts as a liaison between participants, worksites, and PAL, maintaining open communication with Program Supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Conducting and documenting daily field assessments
• Collecting and organizing participant timesheets weekly
• Maintaining accurate participant files
• Monitoring participant performance
• Collecting evaluations
• Ensuring that all worksites provide a safe and supportive environment
• Facilitating PTD assignments via Zoom
• Assisting CUNY professors with attendance and classroom management
• Planning and accompanying participants on trips
• Assisting with the distribution and collection of all program documents
• Preparing files for audits
• Attending required meetings and trainings at the main office in Queens

Requirements

• High School Diploma required
• Ability to meet deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong role model with the ability to guide youth and mediate conflicts effectively
• Flexible schedule; availability for some evenings and weekends may be required
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; general computer literacy is essential
• Strong multi-tasking and exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated supervisory, collaboration, and organizational abilities
• Excellent writing skills, including the ability to produce clear and accurate reports
• Familiarity with and ability to navigate the New York City public transportation system
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment and discretion
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively
• Cultural competence and sensitivity to participants from diverse backgrounds
• Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
• Employment with PAL is contingent upon successful completion of all the Agency’s lawful pre-employment checks, which may include a background check.
