About the Role
Entegris is seeking a Production Supervisor for its Solids team in Burnet, TX. This role leads a high-tech manufacturing team in a fast-paced, safety-driven environment, ensuring safe operations, consistent product quality, and reliable on-time delivery. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, proactive problem-solver, and leader focused on developing people and improving processes. The Production Supervisor is responsible for daily leadership of technicians, maintaining a safe work environment, meeting production schedules, and upholding quality standards. This position is key to driving operational excellence, supporting continuous improvement, and fostering accountability and teamwork. The shift schedule is a 3-2-2-3 rotation on nights (6pm-6am) once fully trained and certified.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and training to technicians.
- Delegate work assignments, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to policies and SOPs.
- Conduct critical-to-quality audits.
- Recognize strong performance and address issues with documentation and follow-up.
- Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols, PPE use, and housekeeping standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure equipment reliability and meet quality and cost targets.
- Identify and report potential hazards; coach employees on safe behaviors.
- Maintain accurate documentation and electronic transactions.
- Support internal, customer, and ISO audits.
- Ensure production schedules are met while minimizing downtime and costs.
- Collaborate with schedulers and planners to manage workflow and resolve interruptions.
- Troubleshoot non-routine issues and ensure technicians have necessary tools and equipment.
- Implement quality improvements using structured problem-solving methods.
- Lead and maintain 6S activities.
- Work with Engineering to update standards, PMs, and spare parts requirements.
- Propose and implement process improvements.
- Perform lab maintenance tasks including PMs, supply ordering, housekeeping, and waste disposal.
- Conduct quality testing and inspections on finished products.
- Design for enhancements to existing equipment manufacturability and new product equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively.
- Strong sense of urgency and sound decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong visual inspection skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 45000 standards.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs and push up to 70 lbs.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities; able to manage multiple tasks.
- Technical problem-solving skills.
Skills
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Experience with electrical or PLC systems is a plus.
