About the Role
API Heat Transfer is seeking individuals who thrive in transformative environments. We are embarking on a new mission with new leadership, accelerating our path to Lean Cultural Change and aiming to become a Lean Management powerhouse within our Operations Team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a revitalized API and fix operational challenges.
Responsibilities
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
- Move rough and finished material to proper storage areas.
- Gather and deliver parts for production schedules or contract/shop orders.
- Gather and package spare parts orders and return goods for shipping.
- Operate material handling equipment including cranes, forklifts, and carts.
- Check tools in and out of the stock room.
- Maintain a clean and orderly storage area.
- Perform weekly inventory accuracy audits via cycle count.
- Perform closely related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- GED or High School diploma
- Two (2) years of experience in shipping and receiving departments
- Forklift operation experience
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching
