About the Role

As an Associate in PwC Canada's Risk Services practice, you will assess and strengthen technology controls for clients' information systems. You'll work with experienced professionals to evaluate IT environments, systems, and processes, focusing on financial reporting and business operations. Your work will involve reviewing IT general controls, application controls, cybersecurity, data integrity, and system implementations, while also supporting audit teams. You will help clients understand technology risks and provide insights to enhance system trust and confidence.

Responsibilities

Conduct audit work efficiently while meeting timelines and budgets.
Maintain constant communication with the lead advisor and/or director.
Clearly and concisely document audit evidence and validate its relevance and quality.
Analyze the impact of control deficiencies on financial data and the overall audit strategy.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships within the department and with clients.
Actively monitor external trends in IT, remote access, authentication, threat and risk assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments.
Identify business development opportunities and present services to potential clients.

Requirements

Enrolled in post-secondary education working towards Canadian CPA prerequisite courses.
Bilingual in French and English (oral and written).
Motivated to learn about technologies, IT practices and standards, infrastructure-related risks and controls, and IT control frameworks.
Motivated to learn about the analysis of IT risks and internal controls, including control objectives and procedure design.
Motivated to learn about analyzing the impact of IT risks and internal controls on organizations’ financial, strategic, and operational objectives.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.
Strong analytical, conceptualization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong skills in prioritization and problem-solving.
