About the Role

The Photo Reticle Engineer is responsible for the health and performance of reticle-related tools supporting fab production, focusing on inspection, cleaning, or repair. This role provides support for operational issues, ensures adherence to quality and compliance standards, collects performance data, generates KPI reports, and drives continuous-improvement initiatives. The role reports to the Inspection or Equipment manager.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prioritize, and coordinate system-level improvements for the reticle-related toolset supporting fab production.
  • Continuously monitor equipment and process metrics, extracting, validating, and integrating tool-specific parameters, to ensure stable, repeatable operations.
  • Ensure that all reticles, whether inspected, cleaned, or repaired, meet the required quality specifications before release into production.
  • Respond to reticle-quality incidents and develop release-strategy plans that satisfy manufacturing schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and drive escalation handling for any situation that threatens reticle availability, working with vendors and fab engineers.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical), Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics or similar technical degree.
  • 2-5 years experience in semiconductor process engineering.
  • High degree of knowledge with Spotfire is a plus.
  • Knowledge of scripting language (Python, R, VBA, or JSL preferred).
  • Understanding of semiconductor wafer processing fundamentals and photolithography.
