About the Role

The Exchange Technician (XT) is responsible for managing refrigerant recovery cylinders at customer sites, ensuring efficient exchange of full and empty cylinders. This role is crucial for Hudson’s recovery and exchange business and involves direct customer interaction, relationship building, and maintaining operational readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Exchange recovery cylinders at customer sites, including pick-up of “full” and drop-off of “empty” recovery cylinders.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to established process and procedures for cylinder management.
  • Complete depot activities required for recovery & exchange (organizing cylinders, palletizing, shipping/ receiving support, visibility into inventory, obtaining required materials).
  • Complete required documentation of customer, order, and cylinder details.
  • Complete BOLs for each customer visit.
  • Monitor & maintain recovery and associated equipment readiness.
  • Keep the assigned vehicle clean, in good condition, and maintained.
  • Provide daily vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with all DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
  • Follow company processes, procedures, safety standards, and daily schedules.
  • Support Sales/ Account Managers to develop new recovery opportunities.
  • Work with Sales & Management to build new customer relationships and maintain the existing client base.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service through daily activities, communications, and interactions.

Requirements

  • Current CDL Class B with HazMat Endorsement
  • Maintain DOT Medical Card
  • Valid and “clean” state driver’s license
  • Willingness to work outdoors and travel within the assigned territory
  • Capable of utilizing field devices (e.g. tablets, scanners) and software for communication and documentation.
  • Experience with a proven track record in customer satisfaction
  • Not eligible for visa sponsorship
