About the Role

The Medical Office Supervisor coordinates and supervises clerical operations within the clinic, providing leadership to ensure efficient workflow, effective communication, and adherence to policies and regulations. This role supports daily office operations and serves as a key resource for staff and management, promoting teamwork and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the medical record release process and responds to inquiries from patients, attorneys, and insurance companies.
  • Oversees all clerical functions of the clinic, including appointment scheduling, phone management, faxing, mail distribution, reception, and processing of incoming documents.
  • Collaborates with the Practice Manager to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Supervises clerical staff, including interviewing, training, performance evaluations, and administering corrective actions.
  • Prepares and presents monthly reports on collections, phone statistics, no-show rates, and new patient volumes.
  • Partners with the Practice Manager to implement strategies that improve key performance indicators.
  • Maintains inventory and orders office supplies while monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience Level

Education Level

  • Two-year degree with emphasis in business office or related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
