About the Role

The General Manager supports the District Manager by directing and delegating duties, overseeing operational performance, and ensuring alignment with company policies. This role involves hands-on coordination of Air Culinaire activities, managing market P&L performance, and driving efficiency standards to achieve company goals. The GM is also accountable for local sales efforts, client engagement, and maintaining high standards of customer service and loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the quality of work performance of the team.
  • Support global communications and operations standards.
  • Ensure delivery of business functions to meet client demands and market performance expectations.
  • Assure performance standards, product specifications, and accuracy.
  • Oversee training and uphold culinary expertise in all kitchens.
  • Utilize Shipday for all order logistics and deliveries, including photo and recipient verification.
  • Collaborate with District Manager, Senior Director of Operations, and Sales team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Support District Manager’s operational directives for kitchen accuracy, office administration, personnel, local clients, facility, capital assets, government compliance, and corporate requirements.
  • Support quality and execution of catering operations.
  • Supervise and train staff.
  • Oversee the quality and accuracy of food preparation and service, and concierge services.
  • Ensure compliance with State labor law regarding meal and rest breaks, and maintain required documentation.
  • Support District Manager in operational execution of all culinary events, including regional menu coordination.
  • Lead and create plans for staff training, development, and approve payroll records.
  • Support District Manager, Payroll, HR, IT & Finance in processing payroll/labor, scheduling, performance reviews, training, hiring, discipline, and related paperwork.
  • Support District Manager in maximizing kitchen financial performance in accordance with quality standards, corporate guidelines, and budgets.
  • Manage kitchen adherence to execute corporate guidelines for operations, HACCP/food safety, premium quality, customer communication, relations, satisfaction, and timely delivery.
  • Assist DM in local sales promotions and client relationship visits.
  • Communicate and record/report inventory, and manage local purchasing and receiving policies and procedures.
  • Manage cleaning and maintenance of all company assets and arrange for repairs, contracts, and other services.
  • Support District Manager in investigating and resolving food and service-related complaints and process events.
  • Manage HACCP, health and safety regulations standards.
  • Assist District Manager in communicating, implementing, and enforcing corporate policies and procedures.
  • Support District Manager in Sales & Marketing initiatives.
  • Support District Manager in communicating and maintaining client relationships with the local client base.
  • Directly manage and enforce Air Culinaire’s Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
  • Report timesheets, operations checklists, and operational performance reports for DM.
  • Support District Manager requirement to submit company & personal expense reports through Coupa weekly.
  • Manage and audit monthly vehicle maintenance log containing repair details and associated cost.

Requirements

  • Ability to speak and understand the Spanish language is considered a strong advantage and can be a deciding factor in the hiring process.
