About the Role
The Maintenance staff performs a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the parking facility, delivering service that exceeds customer expectations. This role is responsible for general maintenance and repair of parking equipment, working closely with team members and management to meet standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist with sign installation and/or removal, litter pick-up, and garbage removal.
- Perform snow removal and pressure washing as directed.
- Represent the company in the event of accidents within the facility.
- Coordinate with property security regarding garage and parking issues.
- Assist with the repair of broken gate arms.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain responsibility for company equipment valued from $200.00 up to $50,000.
- Interact face-to-face with customers, prioritizing service.
- Ensure the work site is kept clean, neat, and free of obstacles according to site requirements.
- Manage all tools and equipment required for duties.
- Make suggestions and recommendations for job performance improvements.
- Consult with supervisors or managers regarding parking operation matters.
- Log all issues/events in the log book and report them to supervisors.
- Coordinate with supervisors or managers to resolve problem situations.
- Act as a front-line employee, a critical function of this position.
- Wear uniforms neatly and professionally while on duty, representing the company.
- Prioritize various jobs in coordination with supervisors/managers.
- Track stock and supply levels.
Requirements
- Previous experience with general repairs and maintenance functions.
- Ability to operate a snow plow is an asset.
- Ability to drive various types of vehicles (Automatic or Manual Transmission).
- Knowledge of various parking-related machinery.
