About the Role

As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working collaboratively with the public and site personnel.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, transit patrons, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at government transportation locations.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, transit areas, parking locations, and perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, damaged property, and policy violations according to site procedures.
Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while maintaining professional communication with clients and the public.

Requirements

Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
