About the Role

As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working collaboratively with the public and site personnel.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, transit patrons, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at government transportation locations.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, transit areas, parking locations, and perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, damaged property, and policy violations according to site procedures.
- Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while maintaining professional communication with clients and the public.
Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
