About the Role
Schwab's Retail Strategy & Analytics team is seeking a Senior Specialist to help shape plans for new initiatives and manage high-priority strategy projects. This role requires strong analytical rigor, structured problem solving, clear communication, and collaborative partnership to influence strategic decisions for Schwab's Retail business.
Responsibilities
- Support high-priority strategy initiatives for Schwab's Retail business, helping shape recommendations on growth, operating model, and business performance topics.
- Partner with senior team members to own analysis and discrete workstreams that inform senior-level strategic decisions.
- Execute structured analyses for large, complex projects, applying both quantitative and qualitative problem-solving approaches.
- Develop fact-based strategic insights by synthesizing data, research, and stakeholder input into clear implications and recommendations.
- Influence key strategic decisions through rigorous analysis and compelling storytelling.
- Work across a broad range of strategic topics, building a deep and well-rounded understanding of Schwab's Retail business.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, developing strong relationships and credibility across the organization.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership, gaining exposure to executive audiences.

Requirements
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
- 1-2 years of full-time work experience, preferably in management consulting, financial services, corporate strategy, analytics, or investment banking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to gather and synthesize information through research and stakeholder input.
- Ability to structure quantitative and qualitative analyses.
- Ability to identify key insights and implications, including the so what.
- Ability to translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, well-structured materials for senior audiences.
- Ability to execute work independently or with guidance, across discrete workstreams or modules of larger projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working in cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail, sense of urgency, and proactive working style.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
- Working proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong analytical rigor and attention to detail, with the ability to build sound, well-structured quantitative analysis and stress-test your own work for accuracy.
