About the Role
The Onsite Logistics Lead role is responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing the Logistics Process, leading the Onsite Logistics team, and coordinating site logistics within the electrical construction industry. Safety is a core value, with daily safety initiatives and operational risk management meetings.
Responsibilities
- Lead an operational group for a project supporting up to 200 Electricians.
- Manage a logistics team composed of internal and third-party members (1-15).
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to Onsite Logistics Specialists (OLS) and Onsite Material Handlers (OMH) daily.
- Manage the entire ordering process for project logistics, including equipment, tooling, and materials.
- Ensure efficient and accurate delivery of materials to designated onsite locations.
- Build jobsite productivity through effective material, tool, and equipment management.
- Focus on Continuous Process Improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Assist with Onsite Safety audits and identify solutions for material handling and equipment operation issues.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of Logistics Processes and Lean Techniques.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external customers, presenting logistics information to project teams and vendors.
- Communicate areas of concern or opportunity to the Project Management (PM) team.
- Provide overall knowledge of other logistics positions to assist team members with growth.
- Accurately complete and organize basic jobsite paperwork in a timely manner.
- Support re-mobilization on a project site.
- Order and track materials, and perform cost projections.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
- 5+ years of material management or logistics experience.
- Prior people leadership experience required.
- Ability to travel up to 100%.
- Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background and drug test.
