About the Role

The Manager, Brand Stewardship & Governance plays a key role in protecting and elevating the Four Seasons brand by advancing brand stewardship as an enterprise discipline. This role drives the governance, processes, and decision frameworks that ensure every brand expression aligns with our purpose, strengthens brand consistency, and builds long-term brand value.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage enterprise governance frameworks, processes, and decision pathways to enable consistent, transparent, and scalable brand execution.
  • Manage the coordination and execution of corporate governance forums and support regional governance forums.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure governance forums reflect an enterprise-wide view of initiatives.
  • Manage centralized intake and triage of brand stewardship requests.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, Commercial Enablement and Marketing, to identify, assess, and mitigate brand-related risk.
  • Ensure governance decisions are documented, communicated, and consistently applied.
  • Support governance for brand collaborations and partnerships.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify priority areas for brand audits, and support the planning and execution of targeted audits.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to corporate, regional, and property teams, as well as external partners, on brand stewardship and governance.
  • Provide strategic, actionable guidance to ensure all brand expressions align with our purpose, are applied consistently, and uphold brand integrity.
  • Guide stakeholders through governance processes and decision requirements.
  • Navigate complex or ambiguous brand challenges, providing clear direction and escalating where required.
  • Support prioritization of brand-related initiatives.
  • Partner with corporate, regional, and property teams on key initiatives, facilitating working sessions and workshops.
  • Champion brand stewardship through internal presentations, quarterly reporting, leadership engagement, and performance storytelling.
  • Operationalize the enterprise brand stewardship strategy through tools, templates, and platforms.
  • Manage and continuously evolve central brand platforms and resource hubs.
  • Drive implementation of the brand stewardship and governance roadmap.
  • Manage the rollout of brand expression updates.
  • Develop and maintain practical guidance and resources that translate brand standards into execution.
  • Curate best-in-class examples and case studies to inspire and reinforce high-quality, on-brand execution.
  • Support training and learning initiatives, driving adoption through structured communication, engagement, and change management processes.
  • Support the development and tracking of brand stewardship success measures and performance indicators.
  • Monitor brand health and governance outcomes, using insights to improve effectiveness.
  • Identify recurring challenges and translate them into clear guidance, improved tools, and scalable solutions.
  • Leverage technology, tools, and frameworks to enhance governance efficiency, streamline processes, and enable more agile ways of working.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Brand Management, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing disciplines, with a focus on brand governance and stewardship within a complex, global organization.
  • Extensive experience in brand stewardship, governance, or operations within communications and marketing functions in a complex, global organization.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement frameworks, processes, and tools that enable consistent execution and effective decision-making.
  • Experience managing governance processes, including reviews, forums, audits, risk identification and decision tracking.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to influence and align senior leaders, teams, and external partners.
  • Experience supporting change management and adoption of new frameworks, tools, or ways of working across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing governance operations, including coordinating forums, tracking decisions, and maintaining clear workflows and approval pathways.
  • Strong capability in developing and maintaining frameworks, guidelines, and tools that enable consistent brand application across touchpoints.
  • Experience building and managing tracking systems, dashboards, and reporting to support governance visibility, accountability, and decision-making.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data, identify trends, and generate insights to inform brand health and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to structure and manage workflows, including intake, prioritization, risk identification, and mitigation across multiple initiatives.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives from planning through implementation, ensuring alignment to brand standards and governance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with project management and workflow tools (e.g., monday.com or similar), as well as familiarity with brand governance tools, digital asset management systems, or content platforms.
