About the Role

The Wilmington Trust Institutional Services (IS) division is undergoing a strategic digital transformation to grow revenue, adopt a client-centric model, expand global solutions, and reduce costs. This role involves managing and improving technology for critical IS business processes, shaping the product roadmap, and ensuring solutions are reliable, efficient, and aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage clear OKRs aligned with Institutional Services business priorities.
  • Create and maintain a prioritized feature list reflecting business architecture and user needs.
  • Build and maintain current and future-state business process and workflow models.
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable delivery roadmaps.
  • Focus on outcomes, incorporating design thinking and analytics into product design.
  • Define, own, and deliver the vision and roadmap for business technology products.
  • Prioritize and groom the backlog, writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop and update capacity and demand plans for proper resourcing.
  • Make autonomous decisions to maintain alignment with vision and strategy.
  • Act as the voice of the client within delivery teams.
  • Partner with technology and operations teams to provide stakeholders with progress updates.
  • Collaborate with other Product Owners to align client journeys and dependent backlogs.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards.
  • Manage and administer the platform for Institutional Services, including user onboarding, entitlement management, upgrades, issue resolution, and support coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years’ business, analytical, technical and/or product experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 8 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 4 years’ business, analytical, technical and/or product experience.
  • Understanding of Design Thinking principles and applying them in digital product design and development.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • No direct management responsibility, but must manage activities using a matrixed influencing approach.
  • Works with essential business partners throughout the organization, advocating for the benefit of the Customer.
