Responsibilities

• Provide attentive overnight care for the newborn
• Handle nighttime feedings and burping
• Perform diaper changes as needed
• Soothe and settle baby back to sleep
• Maintain a safe and comfortable sleep environment
• Wash and prepare bottles and feeding supplies
• Follow the family's preferred feeding and sleep routines
• Provide parents with important updates from the overnight shift

Requirements

• Previous newborn care experience is required
• Must be comfortable independently caring for a newborn overnight
• Knowledgeable about newborn feeding, sleep, and safe sleep practices
• Must be dependable, patient, nurturing, and attentive
• CPR/First Aid certification required
• Tdap vaccine required
