About the Role

This position offers a chance to spark curiosity and creativity in the kitchen while introducing Nursery through 4th grade students to the basics of cooking, food science, and nutrition. Create a safe and engaging environment where students can explore new ingredients, follow recipes, and proudly share their creations.

Responsibilities

  • Teach age-appropriate cooking lessons emphasizing fun, safety, and basic culinary skills.
  • Plan and lead engaging recipes introducing students to new foods, cultures, and kitchen tools.
  • Manage and prepare ingredients and materials in advance of each class session.
  • Guide students through hands-on activities like mixing, measuring, chopping, and decorating.
  • Help students create simple, take-home recipes or edible projects to share with families.
  • Collaborate with admin to manage student progress and behavioral expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding student and program-related matters.
  • Utilize company-wide digital platforms for administrative tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized cooking space, and follow all safety and food-handling protocols.

Requirements

  • Experience working with students, preferably elementary age.
  • Basic kitchen skills and experience leading hands-on cooking activities.
  • Punctual, reliable, and passionate about teaching.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a safe and hygienic learning environment.
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Education, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • Teaching experience, preferably with elementary-level students.
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen tools and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
