About the Role
Ogilvy Health is seeking a VP, Influence & Social Strategy to lead integrated social media and influencer marketing strategies for top-tier pharmaceutical and medical device clients. This role involves setting strategic direction for branded and unbranded programs, pioneering new approaches, and ensuring alignment with brand objectives and regulatory frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a thought leader and strategic architect, driving integration between social media innovation, brand strategy, and engagement planning.
- Cultivate and expand deep, trust-based relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Lead the end-to-end strategy, development, and execution of multiple, large-scale, and complex campaigns.
- Champion the strategy, development, and execution of influencer marketing programs, including influencer identification, negotiation, and content brief creation.
- Define and implement data-driven content strategies for social media channels, ensuring engaging and resonant content.
- Provide executive oversight for the development of premium creative content, delivering strategic briefs to creative teams.
- Architect seamless collaboration across PR, Advanced Analytics, Creative, and Paid Media teams, as well as external agencies.
- Maintain an exhaustive understanding of FDA and FTC regulations pertinent to healthcare social media and influencer marketing.
- Rigorously track, analyze, and interpret campaign performance data, delivering executive-level reports and insights.
- Scan the horizon for the latest social media trends, emerging platforms, and disruptive technologies to implement innovative strategies.
- Provide inspiring guidance and cultivate exceptional talent within the team.
- Play a critical role in new business initiatives, including leading RFP responses and developing pitches.
Requirements
- Extensive and demonstrated experience leading both unbranded and branded pharmaceutical social media programming at a senior level.
- Proven expertise in integrating social media as a cornerstone of sophisticated omnichannel marketing strategies.
- 8+ years of progressively responsible experience leading healthcare client engagements, ideally within a top-tier PR or advertising agency or in-house marketing leadership role.
- A distinguished track record of successfully conceptualizing, developing, and managing highly impactful influencer programs for healthcare clients.
- Extensive experience leading social media channels for major healthcare brands, including strategic utilization of advanced third-party scheduling, monitoring, and listening platforms.
- A comprehensive and current understanding of FDA and FTC regulations and guidelines specifically related to social media and influencer marketing within the healthcare industry.
- Superior analytical capabilities to interpret complex data, accurately forecast and track campaign performance, and generate strategic, actionable insights and recommendations.
- The ability to thrive in a high-pressure, rapidly evolving environment, expertly managing multiple concurrent executive-level projects, and demonstrating exceptional adaptability to shifting strategic priorities.
