About the Role
This entry-level position supports the Commissioning (Cx) team, focusing on document proofreading, formatting, and assisting with jobsite observations and project file management. The role is crucial for ensuring consistency, quality, and timely distribution of project information.
Responsibilities
- Proofread and format documents for consistency and quality.
- Assist Cx lead personnel in performing jobsite observations.
- Maintain up-to-date digital project files.
- Manage and maintain the “Project Big Board”.
- Distribute project information to team members, clients, and consultants.
- Assist with setting up and formatting PowerPoint presentations.
- Assist Cx Project Managers in scheduling meetings and developing meeting minutes.
- Write field reports for jobsite observations.
- Create pre-functional checklists and develop MEP Cx and functional performance test procedures.
- Provide technical support to project teams for building systems.
- Assist Cx lead personnel in performing equipment and systems conditions assessments.
- Prepare basic calculations.
- Develop commissioning plans, specifications, and Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR) documents.
- Troubleshoot HVAC, controls, and plumbing systems.
- Perform functional testing and verification of equipment and systems in the field.
- Assist with new hire workspace setup.
Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project, Teams).
- Understanding and ability to communicate with internal commissioning team members.
- Excellent organization and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Read and clearly speak English, follow written and verbal instructions, write legibly.
- Ability to work independently and within team settings.
- Willingness to learn and contribute.
- A confident and positive attitude with colleagues and clients.
