About the Role
Stellar Health partners with primary care practices to help them succeed in value-based care. The Provider Success team drives engagement with the Stellar platform, closes care gaps, and achieves performance targets. As a Lead, Provider Success, you will own the performance outcomes for a portfolio of medical groups, including large and complex accounts. This is a senior individual contributor role requiring a high degree of independence, focusing on driving practice behavior change and achieving key metrics.
Responsibilities
- Own performance results for a portfolio of medical groups, including platform engagement, completed actions, closed care gaps, and progress against value-based care targets, especially for complex accounts.
- Build and adjust long-term engagement strategies for strategic accounts, creating specific, non-standard plans for success.
- Take full ownership of escalations, proposing solutions for issues like difficult stakeholders, fraud risks, or at-risk relationships.
- Build relationships with practice operational and executive leadership to resolve conflicts across multiple stakeholders.
- Diagnose and address reasons for low practice engagement, such as staffing gaps, workflow problems, or lack of leadership buy-in, developing custom solutions.
- Build a compelling case for Stellar's value to busy practices, tailoring the message to different audiences from front-desk staff to executives, supported by data.
- Closely track performance data to identify drivers and blockers for each account and prioritize next steps.
- Lead recurring check-ins, business reviews, and steering meetings, connecting Stellar's work to practice outcomes like cost, utilization, and incentive dollars.
- Serve as an expert on Stellar's platform for complex implementations and provide feedback on product gaps.
- Act as a go-to resource for less experienced teammates, coaching them through challenging situations and stepping in when necessary.
- Collaborate with Customer Success and other partner teams to ensure a consistent practice experience and seamless handoffs.
- Contribute to playbooks, training materials, and process improvements to enhance the Provider Success team's overall performance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience working directly with healthcare providers, medical groups, or similar healthcare organizations, with accountability for performance numbers.
- A track record of independently owning escalations and ambiguous situations, presenting recommended solutions.
- Comfort operating without a script and building approaches for situations not covered by existing playbooks.
- Experience building credibility with and presenting to senior or executive stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build trust quickly and drive behavior change in busy, skeptical teams.
- Comfort telling a clear, credible story about Stellar's value, tailored to the audience.
- Sharp analytical skills to interpret performance data, identify issues, and formulate next steps.
- Experience working closely with Customer Success or account management teams and coordinating for a consistent practice experience.
- Genuine excitement about mentoring newer teammates and contributing to team success.
