About the Role

92NY Gymnastics is seeking experienced Rhythmic Gymnastics Lead Coach and Team Coaches to grow and develop its rhythmic gymnastics program. This role offers a supportive training environment for athletes and empowers coaches to grow and collaborate.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and appropriate supervision of competitive rhythmic gymnasts at all times.
  • Deliver age- and level-appropriate instruction with a strong working knowledge of rhythmic gymnastics technique, apparatus skills, choreography, and athlete development.
  • Provide proper spotting and hands-on assistance as needed to support safe skill progression.
  • Plan and lead structured, engaging practices that support individual athlete development and overall team goals.
  • Develop, teach, and refine routines and choreography appropriate to each gymnast’s competitive level.
  • Monitor athlete progress and provide consistent, constructive feedback.
  • Complete athlete progress evaluations and communicate level placement and advancement recommendations.
  • Track athlete attendance and promptly communicate concerns, injuries, incidents, or other issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, professional development opportunities, and team-related events.
  • Attend competitive meets and provide coaching, supervision, preparation, and support to athletes throughout competition.
  • Foster a positive, focused, and supportive team environment that promotes sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and respect.
  • Maintain professional and effective communication with athletes, families, fellow coaches, and program leadership.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have experience working with children.
  • CPR certification required within 6 months of hire date.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • USA Gymnastics Instructor or Professional certification preferred
  • USA Gymnastics certification preferred

Salary/Compensations

  • $25 - $40/hour
