About the Role

As a Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including assembly, testing, fabrication, and inspection of products in both standard and non-standard environments. Your role is crucial in maintaining the flow of work and ensuring high-quality output.

Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and follow work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
  • Utilize written instructions to accurately complete assembly tasks.
  • Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of products in workstations, ensuring all necessary materials are available and accounted for.
  • Perform quality checks on work performed, identifying and recording any product defects.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
  • Always adhere to quality standards and established safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area to ensure a productive work environment.

Requirements

  • This job requires a U.S. Person.
  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or a related technical environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Capable of working in a standing position for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Proficient in the use of various hand and power tools.
  • Keen eye for detail to identify defects and ensure high-quality assembly.
  • Precision in following engineering specifications and instructions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and rework products as needed to meet quality standards.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following safety protocols.
  • This role involves working in environments that may vary from standard to non-standard conditions.
  • Requires adherence to safety procedures and the ability to adapt to different working conditions.
