About the Role

Morgan Stanley's Global Capital Markets (GCM) division seeks a Senior Associate for the Leveraged Finance Coverage/Origination team in New York. This role involves assisting with underwriting, marketing, and execution of transactions, preparing marketing materials, and performing financial analysis to support clients in financing their LBOs, M&A, share repurchases, and debt refinancing.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with underwriting, marketing, and execution of transactions
• Preparation of marketing pitches, review and formulation of financial analysis, client presentations, and deal underwriting memos
• Assist colleagues in all aspects of deal execution processes for leveraged loan, high yield bond and private credit transactions including investor outreach, roadshow scheduling, investor feedback tracking, data room maintenance, and primary deal allocations

Requirements

• Extraordinarily high level of motivation, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and decision-making abilities
• History of taking ownership over processes, delivering strong outcomes on projects and deliverables
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a positive attitude
• Strong interest in and understanding of Capital Markets and Investment Banking
• Analytical, quantitative, adaptive, hungry, a self-starter, a leader, a team player, a multitasker, and a results-oriented individual
• High proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Commercial instinct and ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
• Interest in developing a career in Global Capital Markets
• 2+ years of Leveraged Finance or Investment Banking experience as an Analyst and/or Associate, or relevant post-MBA experience
• Series licensing or must obtain (SIE, S79, S7, S63)
