About the Role
Sony Music Entertainment is seeking a New York-based Senior Product Designer to lead the design vision for their Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) product area, working on both internal tools and consumer-facing artist storefronts.
Responsibilities
- Design internal D2C tools including a multi-store management dashboard, batch workflows, and ops data views.
- Integrate Shopify data into existing suite applications to connect the ecosystem.
- Oversee agency build of the Shopify storefront and serve as the long-term design owner of the consumer experience.
- Build custom Shopify apps to extend platform capabilities.
- Create analytics dashboards to surface key ecommerce metrics for operators and leadership.
- Lead discovery processes alongside PM and engineering, researching fan and operator needs.
Requirements
- Ecommerce fluency, including storefront design, shopping flows, and conversion drivers.
- Experience designing both B2B tools and consumer-facing products.
- Comfort with analytics and data-heavy UIs, with an understanding of essential ecommerce metrics.
- Exceptional visual and UI craft across consumer storefronts and internal tools.
- Strong research skills with the ability to advocate for both fan and operator needs.
- Systems thinking across multiple tools, integrations, and user types.
- Clear communication with stakeholders and executive audiences.
