About the Role
EDC Investments is an evergreen investment group seeking a Portfolio Manager, Portfolio Management & Impact Analytics to support the Investments function by optimizing market engagement, investment management, impact strategies, and capital management. This is a new function where the successful candidate will help shape the team.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for the capital model, including capital flows, portfolio allocations, and performance benchmarking.
- Works closely with partners and investment professionals to embed data-driven methodologies that enhance sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio value creation.
- Contribute to the management of the Investments portfolio, including monitoring performance, risk, and analytics, and forecasting.
- Enable the ongoing assessment and valuation of individual investments by maintaining relationships with investment leads.
- Deliver actionable insights through improved forecasting and program-level reporting and analytics.
- Build reports, dashboards, AI prompts, and analytics to deliver data-centric optimizations to the risk program.
- Deliver high-impact insights to senior leadership through advanced forecasting, scenario modeling, and portfolio-level reporting.
- Support enhancements to governance, systems, and operations by leading special projects.
- Serve as a key resource to the Investments Team and liaise with Technology, Risk, Finance, and Corporate Reporting Teams.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with EDC customers and all internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience within the private equity, corporate, or venture capital investing industry.
- Demonstrated track record of portfolio performance accountability, advanced analytics, and systems innovation.
- Demonstrated experience in the ongoing assessment and valuation of investee companies and regular governance/financial investor context engagement.
- Verifiable and active industry network (pension funds, private equity, family offices, etc.).
- Ability to work legally in Canada at the time of application (Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents).
- Must meet requisite government security screening requirements.

Salary/Compensations
- Salaries typically range from $129,928 to $173,235 annually, plus a performance-based incentive.
