About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the capital model, including capital flows, portfolio allocations, and performance benchmarking.
  • Work closely with partners and investment professionals to integrate data-driven methods that yield measurable improvements in sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio value creation performance.
  • Contribute to the management of the investment portfolio, including monitoring investment portfolio performance, analyzing risks and performance, forecasting, and reconciling between different financial information systems.
  • Ensure the ongoing valuation and assessment of individual investments, which involves maintaining relationships with portfolio investment leads to provide or coordinate value-added support for their growth strategies.
  • Provide actionable insights by enhancing forecasts, analysis, and program reporting to track the effectiveness of capital and value creation strategies.
  • Act as a data and technology-enthusiastic team member who develops reports, dashboards, AI queries, and analyses to drive data-oriented optimizations to the risk management program.
  • Provide high-impact insights to senior management through advanced forecasting, scenario modeling, and portfolio reporting to measure the effectiveness of capital deployment and value creation initiatives.
  • Support the improvement of governance, systems, and operations by leading special projects to redefine processes, reporting, and operations.
  • Act as key resources to Investment Team members and be an intermediary with Technology, Risk, Finance, and Corporate Reporting teams.
  • Work as a team – collaborate effectively with EDC’s client base and diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in private equity, venture capital, or corporate investing, with a proven ability to take ownership of portfolio performance, deep analysis, and systems innovation.
  • Proven experience in the ongoing evaluation and valuation of portfolio companies, as well as regular engagement on governance and financial investor context.
  • Active and verifiable industry network (pension funds, private equity, wealth management offices, etc.) relevant to the execution of the team’s mandate.

Skills

  • Strategic mindset, excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills, and sufficient credibility to interact with senior management, investment committees, and investment counterparties.
  • Ability to foster communication between technical, finance, risk, and investment teams.
  • In-depth expertise in investment analysis, portfolio construction, and capital modeling.
  • Data know-how, supported by emerging technologies and AI.
  • Good command of investment accounting principles and concepts.
  • Strong technical and data skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel, querying, dashboard creation (e.g., Power BI), and AI.
