About the Role

Mercedes-Benz of South Austin, part of Group 1 Automotive, is seeking a qualified PARTS DELIVERY DRIVER to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring timely and accurate delivery and pick-up of parts and equipment, contributing to the smooth operation of the parts department.

Responsibilities

• Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
• Coordinates last-minute pick-ups or deliveries.
• Verifies that invoices match purchase orders for each pick-up.
• Checks payments received against invoices for each delivery.
• Maintains an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups, obtaining recipient signatures.
• Unloads the truck nightly and turns in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
• Performs basic truck maintenance, including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and ensuring required inspections are done.
• Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
• Checks in all stock orders upon receipt.
• Notifies the parts manager of any damaged or missing parts.
• Receipts in all special order parts.
• Maintains a special order file and ensures customers are notified of part arrivals.
• Maintains a backorder file.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and work ethic.
• Ability to work well in a process-driven environment.
• Valid driver license in the state of employment with a good driving record.
• Employment is contingent upon successfully completing all applicable pre-employment requirements.
