About the Role

The Project Manager will oversee the construction program for restaurants, including stand-alone and urban storefront designs. This role involves managing projects and assignments for client accounts, property portfolios, or large facilities, coordinating services, and potentially supervising project management staff. The Project Manager will interact closely with clients, property management teams, and internal staff, providing detailed progress reports.

Responsibilities

  • Chairs and schedules meetings, prepares agendas, and develops/maintains master project budgets and timelines.
  • Prepares and coordinates project reports and drawing reviews for clients and management teams.
  • Assists in the selection and contracting of consultants and construction teams.
  • Reviews requisitions, change orders, and invoices, advising management teams.
  • Directly participates in the marketing and presentation of services to clients.
  • May supervise and manage the performance, development, and activities of Project Managers, Space Planners, and CAD Operators.
  • Maintains high qualitative and quantitative standards of work performance and ensures accountability.
  • Strives to improve skills and knowledge and stays updated in the field.
  • Cooperates with other personnel to achieve corporate goals.
  • Reports major problems, findings, and results to management with recommendations.
  • Provides documentation and obtains necessary approvals for organizational changes, commitments, and expenditures.
  • May establish goals and objectives with timetables for supervised units.
  • May select and hire subordinates, delegating authority and responsibility.
  • May train, develop, motivate, and discipline subordinates.
  • Implements government laws and regulations and adheres to established rulings.
  • Carries out responsibilities in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or similar required.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of directly related experience in an engineering/construction project accountability role or a minimum of ten (10) years of equivalent combination of experience in an advisory and/or engineering supervisory capacity required.
  • Urban storefront and restaurant experience highly preferred.
  • Excellent client relations, client management, and consultation skills required.
  • Proven leadership ability, administrative ability, technical background, and project responsibility experience required.
  • May be required to have at least three (3) years of supervisory experience in a project management capacity.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills required.
  • Software Competency: Microsoft Project and Excel.
  • Regularly required to travel from floor to floor and potentially outside between buildings in varying weather conditions.
  • May be regularly required to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
  • Regularly use hands to operate office machinery.
  • Regularly required to walk, talk, and hear.
