About the Role

Acumen Health, part of the APM Group, is a leader in workplace health, injury management, and safety. We focus on recovery and function to help clients return to work and life. This role involves applying clinical reasoning to support individuals who have sustained work-related injuries, working within a multidisciplinary team to facilitate their rehabilitation journey.

Responsibilities

  • Apply clinical reasoning skills to support people who have sustained a physical and/or psychological injury at work.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing.
  • Perform a variety of assessments including Vocational Assessments, Transferrable Skills Assessment, Job preparation services, Worksite Assessments and initial needs assessments.
  • Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including injured employees and employers, medical specialists and other allied health professionals.
  • Develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans through case management.

Requirements

  • Current unrestricted (or eligibility for) registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ASORC).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology (Fully registered or Provisional Psychologists with external supervision will be considered).
  • Strong clinical reasoning.
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal.
  • Passion to help people rehabilitate.
  • Occupational Rehabilitation experience will be highly desirable.
